In memoriam of Richard H. Kuh,

The firm of Warshaw Burstein Cohen Schlesinger & Kuh, LLP mourns the passing of our distinguished founding partner, a highly respected member of the Bar and leader of our firm. After a long and effective career in public service, including a period as Manhattan District Attorney, Dick joined our firm and led our litigation department for over 25 years. Among the many clients he represented in highly complicated commercial litigations were major U.S. corporations, including Sony Music and the Mirage. Dick played a crucial role in the well-known von Bulow case and in the Estate of Doris Duke. Always a true gentleman, Dick was nevertheless a vigorous and effective advocate for, and trusted advisor and friend of, all his clients. For those of us in the firm who had the privilege of working with him on a daily basis, he was a wise and helpful partner who always applied the highest standards of our profession to his own work and expected his colleagues to follow suit. Among his many interests were writing, reading, travelling, skiing, politics, and, most of all, his family, to whom he was a proud and devoted husband and father. He was respected by both friends and adversaries, as well as by judges, prosecutors and other members of the bar. We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Joyce, his children Michael and Jody and their families, and his brother Joseph.
